Second Session

Zahra ecstatically ran towards the Northern Temple after Analoté's passing comment about ruins and a possible temple on this island. Quick behind Zahra's heels followed Barry the sailor. Analoté also followed. And of course, Onion followed too.

Once in the jungle-reclaimed courtyard of the temple, Zahra noticed the Sylvan written above the door. Analoté also read the sign above the door, which read "Temple of Jin." Zahra and Analoté discussed amongst each other that it was their birthright as elves to explore this temple and learn about its heritage. The door to the temple was already open anyways.

Zahra, Barry, and Analoté entered the temple. Onion, lagging behind, snooped around but didn't see much but the obvious piles of rubble and vegetation growth over the stones.

The party reunited inside the temple. On either side of the doors, were empty basins. Tattered prayer mats littered the floor around the two-storey shrine. The statue appeared to be made of emerald, gold, and silver. The idol looked like a humanoid mushroom deity. The deity had 3 arms on each side. Every hand held an orb of different colors: black with speckles of white, black, blue, white, green, and red.

On the right side were three opened doors to three rooms. In the back of the main room tucked in the upper left corner were a stairwell leading up to the second floor where there was a balcony overlooking the shrine.

The three rooms proved relatively fruitless. There were fresh dead bodies most likely killed by the boobie traps in the room. Carefully, Zahra somersaulted and flipped to reach one of the three looted treasure chests. In one of them was a map left behind. The map showed a large continent north of the United Islands of Wenster. A continent not included in any modern maps. The area was uncharted. Zahra and Analoté quickly realized the value of this map, especially when Barry confirmed that the Captain was indeed looking for evidence of a third continent up North.

Exploring the temple, the party occasionally heard distant thumping noises coming from below the temple. In the third room on the ground floor, there were stairs leading down. Not wanting to confront whatever could possibly be making the large thumping sounds, the party agreed to explore up before down.

The second floor was much of the same: dead bodies from boobie traps and empty looted treasure chests. The third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh floors were made from different colored stones: red, mossy green, white, blue, black, and black with speckled white in order of ascension.

The eighth and final floor was an altar room. There were 5 half-spherical indentations in the altar. Zahra's well-read knowledge informed her that the altar was probably missing relics. The missing orbs were The South Relic of Fire (red), The West Relic of Earth (green), The East Relic of Wind (white), The North Relic of Ice (blue), and the Celestial Relic of Space-Time (black). No space for a sixth relic though, The Infinite Relic of The Universe (black with white speckles).

Leaving the altar room, the party descended to the cellar. Behind a magically sealed door, trapped a creature speaking to the party in their minds in abysmal language. Zahra grew wary and concern over opening the door to free this creature, given her knowledge on what type of creatures speak abysmal. Barry checked the barrels in the cellar for booze, came up empty, and proceeded to nope the fuck out before anyone got the bright idea to open this door to this demon/monster thing.

After Zahra pleaded with Onion and Analoté to leave the door alone, the party met up with Barry and headed back to the ship.

It was time to finally get back to sailing and head for Wenster City.
