Seventh and Eighth Sessions

Date: Monday the 6th of Tripple, 2020

After a restless sleep with The Infected murdering guards and townsfolk at night and attempting to crash into the horse stables that our travelers were bunking, Zahra, Onion, and Analóte make their way to the temple to show Priestess Taylor what the water from the springs do.  Before showing Priestess Taylor, the party pours a little bit on the grass and watch in horror as the grass wilts and then transforms into, as Zahra calls it, an eldritch horror.  

They proceed to share this finding with Priestess Taylor.  Taylor expresses urgency needing to show Arugula and Connor what is happening.  

As the party goes back to Penta from the hill, guards appear asking the party to quietly follow them and that they have some questions to ask.  Onion takes off running.  Zahra and Analóte manage to escape as well.  Onion frees their two horses and grabs Zahra and Analóte and head towards Wenster. 

On their way to Wenster, they notice that the guards are hot on their trail.  Above flies a white small songbird carrying a small scroll.  Analóte attempts to kill the bird with their short bow but misses.  Afraid the bird will carry ill news of the party, they veer off the road and head towards the forest in the mountains. 

Bushwhacking for hours in the forest yields a brief encounter with some bandits.  Zahra fast talks her companions out of a physical altercation, explaining the situation of the hot springs to the bandits.  The bandits ask for some gold for safe travels and promise to spread the news to the rest of the bandits in the area to grant them safety.

The party eventually finds the main river running down the mountain carrying with it merchants and their wares.  Near sundown they arrive near the end of the tree line.  Their plan is to ask a griffon for help finding the dwarves as they continue to figure out why The Infected are coming out of the hot springs.
